Old Apple Barn

Old Apple Barn is a Grade II-listed thatched cottage in Burton Bradstock, described as about 350 years old. The Three Horseshoes pub is opposite, 50 yards away. It sleeps four, with a king-size bedroom and a double on the first floor, both reached by a winding staircase from the lounge. There is a low ceiling at the stairwell.

The kitchen/diner is the first room you reach from the hallway. It has Smeg appliances, including an electric oven and gas hob, alongside a dishwasher, a washing machine, a microwave, a Nespresso coffee maker and a fridge. A couple of steps lead down to the dining area, with its original beams, and then through to the lounge, which has a beamed ceiling, a Smart TV and a historic inglenook.

Upstairs is a single shower room with a walk-in rainfall shower, a handheld shower attachment, his and hers basins and a WC. The enclosed front garden has seating, and the rear garden also has seating, though neighbouring properties have a right of way at the back. Because of the thatch, barbecues and open fires are not permitted.

There is no allocated parking: cars go on the street and surrounding roads on a first come, first served basis. Two dogs are allowed, and extra charges may apply. The shop is within 200 metres and the beach is 1 mile away. It suits a couple or a pair of couples who want a pub on the doorstep and can live without a reserved space.
