Ambers

Ambers is a stone cottage in a terrace in Uploders, a small village near Bridport and not far from Shipton Gorge. It sleeps four, in a dual-aspect super-king-size bedroom and a twin room that looks onto the garden, both reached by winding cottage stairs. The ground-floor bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower.

The lounge has a Smart TV and an inglenook fireplace with an original bread oven. The wood burner is not in use. There are toys and board games for children. The kitchen and dining room has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a coffee machine, a dishwasher and a washing machine.

The age of the building shows in narrow doorways, areas of restricted head height and uneven floors, and there is one step up to the front door. At the back, a fully enclosed terraced garden has a patio with furniture, and narrow steps (take care with children) lead up to a lawn with a wendy house. Bikes can be stored, with access through the cottage. Parking is on the road, subject to availability.

The beach is 3.5 miles away, the shop 2 miles, and the pub is within walking distance. Dogs are not allowed. The cottage suits a family with young children who want a garden to play in and no dog to bring.
