Spring Cottage - Powerstock

Spring Cottage is a stone-built cottage in Powerstock, one of a pair beside the River Mangerton, in a village near Bridport and not far from Shipton Gorge. Steps lead from the laneside parking area to the front door. Inside, the lounge and dining room has a Smart TV and an open fire, and the first basket of logs is supplied from October to April.

The country-style kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave, a dishwasher and a washing machine, and a utility area adds a tumble dryer. A sunroom overlooks the garden. The bathroom is on the ground floor, with a shower over the bath. Upstairs are a king-size bedroom and a twin, so the cottage sleeps four.

The enclosed rear garden has a raised patio with furniture and a charcoal barbecue, and a sloping lawn. The patio and lawn are reached by three steps. Parking is on the road at the front of the cottage, with room for two cars. A pub is within 500 metres, the beach is 5 miles away and the nearest shop 4 miles.

One dog is allowed, and additional charges may apply. Subject to availability, the cottage can be booked with two further properties to sleep 16 in total. The cottage suits a couple or small family, with or without a dog, who like an open fire.
