Sirio Cottage

Sirio Cottage is a thatched, 18th-century stone cottage in Loders, a village near Bridport and not far from Shipton Gorge. Three steps lead up from the road to a wide oak front door, and a sliding door opens into the lounge, which has an exposed beam, a Smart TV and a log burner set into an inglenook. The first basket of logs is supplied.

The kitchen next door has a dining table for four, an electric oven and hob, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms, a king-size and a double, and one family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The cottage is next door to the village primary school, and there is a right of way across the back gardens of the neighbouring properties.

The enclosed rear garden has a covered patio with a table and chairs, and the lawn runs down in three levels with mature trees and shrubs. It is fenced or hedged. A medium-sized barbecue is available for guests to use. Parking is on the road, subject to availability.

The village pub is a three-minute stroll away and opens five nights a week. The pub in the next village is a 20-minute walk. One dog is allowed, and additional charges may apply. The cottage suits a couple or a small family, with a dog, who want a garden to use.
