Apple Tree Cottage - Dorset

Apple Tree Cottage is a single-storey cottage for two on a farm in a valley near Milton Abbas, with Winterborne Stickland also nearby. A 1.5-mile walk across open farmland reaches the village of Milton Abbas.

The open-plan room combines a kitchen (electric hob, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave) with a sitting area, dining table and Smart TV. The bedroom has a king-size bed, and a sofa bed can be requested when booking. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC. A welcome pack is provided, and a travel cot and highchair are available on request.

Guests share the farm's facilities: an indoor heated swimming pool and sauna, which have to be booked on the day, a small gym, a games room with a pool table, a tennis court with rackets and balls supplied, garden games and a BBQ area. Shared laundry is available for a charge. The farm also has a riding centre, where booking ahead is required and charges apply, and animals to meet, which may carry a charge paid directly to the owner.

Parking is private and off-road for one car, with more spaces available, and EV charging is on site. The cafe is 0.5 miles away, the pub 1.8 miles, the farm shop 4 miles (opening times may vary), the shop 5 miles and the beach 17 miles. Dogs are not allowed. It suits a couple who want a pool, tennis and farm animals close by.
