Valley View Cottage - Dorset

Valley View Cottage is a single-storey barn conversion, entered by outside steps, on a farm 1.5 miles from the village of Milton Abbas, which you can reach by road or on foot across open fields. Winterborne Stickland is nearby too. The farm keeps donkeys, ducks and goats.

The open-plan living room and kitchen has a sofa that converts to a sofa bed (request it at booking), a Smart TV, and an electric hob and oven, fridge and freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and a single bed suitable for a child. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC. It is booked for two guests.

The balcony has seating. Shared on the farm are an indoor heated swimming pool and sauna that must be booked on the day of use, a small gym, a games room with pool and football tables, garden games, a tennis court with rackets and balls supplied and a BBQ area. Laundry facilities are shared and payable. The riding centre offers lessons and hacks with advance booking and charges, and animal encounters may be charged for, paid direct to the owner.

One car can be parked privately off the road, more spaces are available, and EV charging is on site. The cafe is 0.5 miles away, the pub 1.8 miles, the farm shop 4 miles, the shop 5 miles and the beach 17 miles. Dogs are not allowed. It suits a couple who like farm life and want the shared pool, tennis court and riding centre close by.
