Beach Haven

Beach Haven is a large detached house in West Bexington, recently renovated inside and set next to the beach. The open-plan kitchen/diner has sea views from the table, and patio doors open to the garden. The sitting room has three sofas, a Smart TV and a wood-burning stove, and its windows look out to the beach, along the coast to Portland in the east and Lyme Bay in the west on a clear day.

Four bedrooms sleep eight. On the ground floor are a super-king with a TV and an en-suite shower room, a children's bunk room and a twin room with sea views, and upstairs is a king-size bedroom with a TV. There is also a ground-floor family shower room and a bathroom with a bath. The kitchen has a double oven, an induction hob, a microwave, an American fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a Nespresso machine, and there is a washing machine, fibre broadband, three TVs and a Bluetooth stereo. A stairgate, a travel cot and a highchair are available.

Outside, the lawn and patio garden is enclosed, with furniture, a barbecue area, table tennis and a heated outdoor dog shower. A utility and dog-drying room has space for fishing rods and outdoor wear. The driveway takes three cars. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included, with a small basket of logs for winter lets. Smoking is not allowed.

Two dogs are welcome, if they are over a year old and flea-treated before they arrive, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. The pub is 0.1 miles away, as is the coast. The house suits a family or a group of friends who want a beachfront base with room for their dogs.
