Bosun's Deck

Bosun's Deck is a two-bedroom cottage in Christchurch, around 200 years old. One bedroom has a double bed and the other is a twin, so it sleeps four. Washing is covered by a bathroom with a bath and shower over, plus a separate shower room that has a walk-in shower and a heated towel rail.

The kitchen/diner has an oven, a gas hob, a fridge, a dishwasher, a kettle and a toaster. There is a separate sitting room, and a TV. WiFi is included, along with central heating, fuel and power, bed linen and towels, so there is little to pack beyond clothes and food. Further afield, Bournemouth, Poole and the New Forest National Park are the next places to try for a day out.

The private driveway takes two cars. The garden is enclosed and has a patio, a lawn and furniture, and one well-behaved dog is welcome to stay. The shop is 0.4 miles away and the pub 0.2 miles, while the beach is 1 mile off, a river 0.5 miles and a lake 0.7 miles.

Smoking is not allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. It suits a couple with a dog, or a small family who want a garden of their own and a driveway to park on.
