Harbour View, Mudeford

Harbour View is an all-ground-floor house in Stanpit, a former fishing village on the edge of Christchurch harbour. Its main rooms overlook the water and Hengistbury Head nature reserve. The lounge opens onto a large patio, and the private garden beyond it ends at a gate onto Fisherman's Bank and the harbour coastal path.

There are two bedrooms. The king-size has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, a shower over it, a basin and a WC, while the twin is served by a separate shower room. The open-plan living area combines the kitchen, a breakfast table, a dining area and a sitting area. The kitchen has an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a washing machine, and there are two TVs and wifi. Gas central heating, fuel and power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent.

In the enclosed garden you will find decking, furniture, a lawn and a charcoal barbecue, plus a table tennis table for the lawn and a shed for bikes. A private mooring comes with the house, and two kayaks can be borrowed on request. The garden reaches the water's edge, so children need supervising there. Off-road parking takes one car. The nearest pub is 0.3 miles away and the nearest shop 0.9 miles.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and smoking is not allowed. Bookings are for Saturday to Saturday weeks only, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. The house suits a family of four, or two couples, who want everything on one level beside the water.
