Braiders Rest

Braiders Rest is a Grade II listed cottage in the centre of Bridport, arranged over three floors with room for four. The open-plan living area combines a fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar and stools, a dining area and a sofa and an adjustable wall-mounted TV. The kitchen has an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave and a fridge with an ice box.

The king-size bedroom is on the first floor, next to the bathroom, which has a bath with a shower over. A second flight of stairs leads to the open-plan twin bedroom, which has ceiling beams, and the zip-linked beds can be made up as a king-size on request. Because of the age of the building, the stairs are steeper and narrower than in modern homes and may not be suitable for the elderly, infirm or young children. Gas central heating is fitted, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.

Behind the cottage is a shared garden that is not enclosed. Pets are not allowed, and smoking is not allowed either. Parking is on the road, subject to spaces being free, and a car park a few minutes away takes stays of 2, 3 or 7 days. The shop is 0.3 miles away, the pub 0.1 miles and the beach 2.4 miles. A good-housekeeping bond is payable. The cottage suits a couple, or a small family with no dog and no young children, who are comfortable with steep stairs.
