Dorset Rest

Dorset Rest is a semi-detached cottage for four in Symondsbury, a village outside Bridport. The shop and pub are 500 metres away, and the beach is 2.5 miles. A picket gate opens onto the private entrance, and off-road parking for two cars is provided.

The ground floor has an open-plan kitchen/diner with a wood burner, with the first basket of logs included. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, an under-counter fridge, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a Delonghi coffee machine and a dishwasher. A separate utility room has a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a WC. The sitting room has a decorative fireplace and a Smart TV.

Stairs lead to two bedrooms on the first floor: a king-size zip-and-link that can be arranged as 2'6" twin beds on request, and a double. One bathroom serves both, with a rainfall shower over the bath, a hand-held shower attachment and a WC. Both a travel cot and a highchair are available.

The garden is enclosed and has a lawn with furniture and a barbecue, plus a covered veranda with more furniture. The view from the lawn takes in Colmers Hill. Two dogs are allowed here, and an additional charge may apply. The cottage suits two couples or a small family who want a village base with the pub on foot and a garden for the dogs.
