Bramshurst

Tucked away in a courtyard of five holiday cottages in the River Wey valley, Bramshurst is the middle one of a terrace of three, on the edge of Upwey. The living area is open plan, with the kitchen, dining area and sitting area in a single room, and doors that open out to a private patio.

The shared garden has views across the nearby farmland, and its hillside has picnic benches. Parking is one space on a shared driveway. The shop and pub are a 10 minute walk away and the beach is 3.5 miles.

There are two bedrooms: a king-size double whose zip/link beds can be made up as twins on request, and a first-floor double with an en-suite shower, basin and WC under a sloping ceiling. The separate bathroom has a bath with a shower over. In the kitchen are an electric oven and ceramic hob, a microwave, a fridge with an icebox, a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. Three Smart TVs and WiFi are provided; the heating is gas central, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. A travel cot and highchair can be requested.

House rules are short. Smoking is not allowed. One well-behaved dog is welcome, on a lead outdoors, with kennels nearby available by arrangement with the owner. A good-housekeeping bond is payable. Bramshurst can be booked together with the other four cottages, 24 people in all, and works for a family or a couple wanting a courtyard setting.
