Church Cottage - Martinstown

Church Cottage is in Martinstown, a village near Dorchester and Upwey. The village shop and the pub are within 100 metres, and the beach is 6 miles away. The lounge looks onto the churchyard at the rear, and has an inglenook fireplace with a wood burner, with the first basket of logs included from October to Easter.

The central door opens into a dining hall with space for boots and coats. A couple of steps lead up to the galley-style kitchen, which has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. Off the lounge is a single bedroom, and stairs rise to the first floor. There you will find the shower room, a double bedroom with its own en-suite bathroom and a triple room with a super-king zip-and-link bed and a single bed. The zip-and-link bed can be arranged as twins on request. A travel cot and a highchair are available.

The front garden is enclosed by a low stone wall topped with hazel hurdles, and has a table, chairs and a BBQ. Three doors open onto it. Parking is on the road, subject to availability.

The standard limit is two dogs, additional charges may apply, and the owner may agree to more with prior notice, so get in touch first. The cottage suits a family or a mixed group of six who want a village base on foot from the pub and shop.
