Everdene

Everdene sleeps six in three king-size bedrooms. Two are on the ground floor, with zip/link beds that can be set up as twins on request. The third is up the stairs, with its own en-suite bath, shower over, basin and WC and a sloping ceiling. Every bedroom has a Smart TV of its own, and the bathroom has a bath with a shower over, a basin and a WC.

The cottage is semi-detached, one of five around a shingled courtyard in the Wey valley, at the edge of Upwey. A high vaulted ceiling covers the open-plan living area, where a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area share the room and large glass doors open onto a private patio with furniture. The kitchen has an electric oven and ceramic hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer and a dishwasher.

Four Smart TVs and WiFi are provided in all. There is gas central heating, and the rent covers fuel, power, bed linen and towels. A travel cot and highchair can be requested. A shared hillside garden has picnic benches.

Two cars can park off the road. The shop and pub are 10 minutes away on foot, and the beach is 3.5 miles. The rules: one well-behaved dog, no smoking, and a good-housekeeping bond. Everdene can be booked with the four other cottages on the site for up to 24 guests. With three king-size bedrooms, it suits a family of up to six, or three couples who each want a proper double.
