Shepherd Oak

On the edge of Upwey, Shepherd Oak is a semi-detached cottage on two floors, one of five on the same site. The ground floor has the open-plan living area, a king-size bedroom whose zip/link beds can be set up as twins on request, and a bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and WC. A mezzanine on the first floor holds the second bedroom, a double with an en-suite shower, basin and WC and a sloping ceiling.

The living area has vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, and the kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and ceramic hob, a microwave, a fridge, a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. Three Smart TVs and WiFi are provided, as is gas central heating; fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. A travel cot and highchair can be requested.

Doors from the living area lead to a private patio with furniture, and the shared hillside garden has picnic benches. The dog allowance is one well-behaved dog, kept on a lead outdoors, and kennels nearby can be rented by arrangement with the owner.

Parking is off the road for one car. The shop and pub are a 10 minute walk away, and the beach is 3.5 miles. Smoking is not allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond applies. Shepherd Oak can be booked with the four other cottages, 24 guests in all. It is best for a couple or two couples, with a dog if you have one.
