Brookfields

Brookfields is a cottage for two on a rural smallholding at Ryme Intrinseca, near Sherborne. It is attached to the owner's home but has its own private entrance door.

Inside, the hall leads to a shower room with WC on the left and a country-style kitchen/diner straight ahead. The kitchen has a range-style electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, a microwave and a washing machine. The kitchen has a dining table, and the lounge next door has a wood burner, with the first basket of logs included, and a TV with a firestick. A welcome pack is supplied.

The super-king-size bedroom is upstairs, with a TV and views across the countryside. It sits in the eaves, so some parts have restricted head height, which matters for tall guests. The fully enclosed garden is reached from the kitchen and has furniture. Private off-road parking for two cars is at the front.

One dog is allowed, with additional charges that may apply. A shop and a pub are within 1 mile, and the beach is 15 miles. Check-in is from 14:30 and departure is before 10:00. Being attached to the owner's home, it has a shared wall with the house. The cottage suits a couple, with or without a dog, who want a quiet base and don't mind a staircase to bed.
