Snowdrop Cottage - Thornford

Snowdrop Cottage is a thatched, terraced cottage in the village of Thornford, near Sherborne. Steps lead up to the front door, and a winding staircase rises from the lounge to the single double bedroom, which looks over the street. The shower room with WC is next to it.

Downstairs, the lounge has a sofa bed, a Smart TV and a DVD player, and an archway opens into the kitchen/diner. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave and a washing machine. Heating is electric and night storage, and a travel cot is available. The booking is for two guests, with the lounge sofa bed offered on request.

At the back is a fully enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and a small lawn. The cottage has no parking of its own: there is roadside parking outside, subject to availability. Because of the thatch, barbecues and smoking are not allowed anywhere on the premises.

Up to five dogs are accepted, with additional charges that may apply. Confirm the pet policy when booking. The village pub and shop are within walking distance, and the beach is 17 miles away. The cottage suits a couple who want a village base on foot to a pub, and who are content to drive for the coast.
