Stags Retreat - Saxon Maybank

Stags Retreat is the one-bedroom barn in a small gated group of conversions at Bradford Abbas, near Sherborne. It is reached by a shared gravel driveway and external steps to the front, and a secure gate guards the site.

The living space is open plan with a vaulted ceiling. The kitchen has an induction hob, a dishwasher, a microwave and a Tassimo machine, and the lounge has a Smart TV, a DVD player and a sofa bed, with a Z-bed available on request. The booking is for two guests. A utility area with a washer/dryer leads to a second shower room, handy after the hot tub. The bedroom has a super-king-size bed, a Smart TV and an en-suite with a large walk-in shower.

A terrace at the front is reached through the living area. It has a private hot tub, patio furniture and, on a clear day, a view across to Golden Cap. Two cars can park off-road in front of the barn, and electric vehicle charging can be arranged with the owner. The welcome pack includes robes, slippers, wine and chocolate, and a travel cot and highchair are available.

Dogs are not allowed. The pub and shop are 2 miles away and the beach is 18.5 miles. It suits a couple who want a hot tub and a self-contained base. The Cow Shed can be booked with it for a larger family stay, subject to availability, with a discount available when both are taken together.
