Carefree Cottage

Carefree Cottage is a small cottage in West Lulworth. Two steps lead up to a porch with space for boots, and the lounge/diner is straight ahead. The pub and the shop are less than half a mile away, and the beach is a mile off.

The lounge has a Smart TV and a woodburner, with a first basket of logs included from October to the end of April, and books and DVDs are kept in the hallway. A service window links it to the kitchen, which has a dishwasher, a fridge, a freezer, an oven, a microwave and an electric hob. A washing machine and tumble dryer are provided, and there is a WC on the ground floor. Upstairs are a king-size bedroom with a basin and a twin, both under the rafters with exposed beams and reduced head height. A walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle complete the floor.

The front garden faces south and has a lawn. The enclosed rear garden has two terraces, the second reached by seven steps, with outdoor seating and views of Bindon Hill. Allocated off-road parking is for two cars, and bike and kayak storage can be arranged. Wi-Fi is included, and guests bring their own beach towels. A single dog is allowed, and additional charges may apply. The cottage suits a couple, or a small family with a dog, who are comfortable with a staircase and low ceilings.
