Chesil Cottage

Chesil Cottage is at Chebbard, 3 miles from Milborne St Andrew, in open Dorset countryside within reach of Dorchester. It sleeps eight in four first-floor bedrooms: two king-size rooms, a super-king-size whose zip-and-link beds can be made into a twin on request, and a twin whose beds can be set up as a super-king-size on request.

The ground floor has a lounge with a wood burner, a family room with a Smart TV and a cupboard of board games, and a kitchen and dining room that spans the back of the house and opens onto the garden. The kitchen has an electric Aga with an electric hob, an oil Aga, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. The utility room holds a washing machine and a tumble dryer. A bathroom with a shower over the bath is on the ground floor, and two shower rooms are upstairs.

The garden is large, with a lawn, a stone patio, outdoor furniture and a charcoal BBQ. It is not enclosed, so children and dogs need watching. Private off-road parking is for four cars. The nearest shop is 3 miles away and the pub 2.5 miles. A travel cot and two highchairs are available on request.

A single dog is allowed, and additional charges may apply. Chesil Cottage suits an extended family, or two families sharing, who want room to spread out and a big lawn.
