Corner Barn

Corner Barn is a single-storey barn on a farm courtyard near Winterborne Stickland, with every room on the ground floor. Exposed beams run through the open-plan living space, which brings together the kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove. Fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove come with the rent, and extra logs can be bought.

Each of the two bedrooms has its own en-suite. The king-size has a bath with a shower over it, and the twin has a shower room, so two couples or friends sharing each have their own bathroom. The kitchen has an electric oven, a ceramic hob, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher. The TV picks up FreeSat, with a DVD player, WiFi, and a selection of books and games. Full bed linen, plus hand and bath towels for every bed space, are provided, and a travel cot and highchair can be requested.

The barn has an enclosed, private garden with a lawn, a patio and a picnic bench, and guests share a larger lawned courtyard at the front. A shared games room has a pool table, table football and air hockey. Off-road parking is ample and there is covered bike storage. An EV charger is available through the Pod Point app. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, but livestock is nearby, so they stay on a lead on the premises. Smoking is not allowed. Guests are asked to use the footpaths and farm tracks and to walk carefully, avoiding crops. A pub is 1 mile from the barn and the nearest shop 5 miles. With an en-suite for each bedroom, it suits two couples, or a small family bringing up to two dogs.
