Deer Lodge

Deer Lodge is a converted stable on the outskirts of Wimborne Minster, part of Chapel Lodges, set in the owner's 13 acres of private woodland and meadow. Everything is on the ground floor, and the lodge is for two adults only: it cannot accept children, including infants.

The bedroom has a king-size bed with high thread count linen and an en-suite shower room with a large walk-in shower. Egyptian cotton towels, robes and slippers are provided, and bed linen, fuel and power are included in the rent. The open-plan living space combines the kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area, with an electric oven and microwave, a hob, a fridge, a coffee machine, a TV, wifi, a record player and vinyl records. Heating is electric.

The private patio has a hot tub, a chiminea and a swing. Because the water is changed for each new guest, the hot tub may not reach temperature until 8pm on the day of arrival. The grounds hold a croquet lawn and two fire pits, which are not usable in extremely hot, dry weather, and use of the grounds is shared with a nearby property, Pheasant Lodge, though the two are screened from each other.

Off-road parking is for one car, or two by prior arrangement. The pub is within 0.2 miles and the nearest shop within 0.9 miles, and Wimborne Minster is 1.1 miles away. Check-in is at 4pm. No pets and no smoking are allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. It suits a couple looking for a quiet adults-only break with a hot tub.
