The Annex

The Annex is a single-storey cottage in the Dorset market town of Wimborne Minster, on the edge of the Cranborne Chase AONB. It shares a courtyard with The Cottage, and a security-gated entrance leads to private parking for three cars. The shop is 1.5 miles away and the pub 1.7 miles.

Inside, a vaulted-ceiling open-plan room holds the kitchen, dining area and sitting area. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a coffee machine. There is a smart TV, WiFi and a selection of books and games, with gas central heating, fuel, power, bed linen and towels all included. A travel cot and highchair are available.

The main bedroom has a super-king bed that is zip-linked and can be set up as twin beds if requested when booking, and a second bedroom has a single bed. An optional sofa bed, better suited to children, is also available, but the cottage sleeps three. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower. Outside are an enclosed, gated rear patio, a shared paddock with oak trees and woodland, and a tennis court that is free to use by prior arrangement. Rackets are provided but balls are not, and plimsoles are advised. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Smoking is not allowed, charging electric vehicles is not permitted, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. The cottage suits a couple or a small family, with or without a dog, who want a tennis court on site.
