Egdon Heath

Patio doors at Egdon Heath lead from the open-plan living space onto decking, with a private enclosed garden that has a lawn, furniture and a barbecue, and the outlook is over rolling countryside. The lodge is in Nottington, 3.4 miles from Weymouth.

Six people sleep across three bedrooms. The ground-floor king-size has an en-suite with a walk-in shower and WC. A super-king and a twin are on the first floor, and each can be switched to the other arrangement on request. All three bedrooms have a Smart TV. The main bathroom has a bath with a shower over it and a heated towel rail, and a cloakroom adds a basin and WC.

In the kitchen are an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle and toaster. Gas central heating, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included, and WiFi is provided. A travel cot, a highchair and a stairgate are available on request. Two allocated off-road parking spaces are by the property.

One well-behaved pet is welcome, but smoking is not allowed. Check-in is from 4pm, check-out by 10am, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. The shop is 1.3 miles off, the pub 1.5 miles and the beach 2.8 miles. It is best for a family or three couples with one pet who want a private lawn.
