'Farthing Cottage' 2 South View

Farthing Cottage, 2 South View, is a 19th-century fisherman's cottage built of local Purbeck stone, in the middle of Swanage. It has room for four guests. The pub, the shop and the beach are each under 200 metres away. The house is arranged over three floors, and the stairs are wooden and steep.

The ground floor is one open-plan space for living, dining and cooking, with flagstone flooring in the kitchen, a DAB radio and a Smart TV that supports Netflix and Prime, plus a DVD player. There is a wood burner, and logs are provided in the winter months. The kitchen has a dual fuel cooker with a gas hob, a fridge, a dishwasher and a microwave. On the first floor is a king-size bedroom with wooden flooring and a view over the garden, and the bathroom, which has a bath, a handheld shower attachment and a WC. A second set of steep wooden stairs leads to another king-size bedroom with built-in storage. A separate shower room has a rainfall shower but no WC.

The enclosed garden opens from the lounge area and has a paved patio, a table, chairs and a bench. There is also an outdoor storage shed. Parking is a private space in a small car park just behind the cottage. A stairgate and a welcome pack are provided. No dogs are allowed here. Guests should bring beach towels of their own. Check-in is available from 4pm, and check-out is before 10am.

It suits two couples, or a family of four, who are comfortable on steep stairs and want the pub, shop and beach within 200 metres.
