Forget-Me-Not Cottage

Forget-Me-Not Cottage is a period cottage in Swanage with flagstone flooring and a large inglenook fireplace holding a wood burner. It sleeps three. The high street is under 200 metres from the front door, the pub is 500 metres away, the shop is 600 metres and the beach is a mile.

The lounge has a low leather corner sofa and a Smart TV, and the wood burner needs logs, which guests buy locally. Next is the country-style kitchen, with wooden worktops, a breakfast table and chairs and a door out to the garden. It has an electric oven, a gas hob, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a microwave. The bathroom has half-panelled walls and a bath with a handheld shower attachment. Upstairs are a double bedroom and a single.

The stairs are steep, narrow and winding, and the cottage is marked as not suitable for children or for people with mobility concerns because of them. A central beam in the lounge gives reduced head height for anyone over 6ft. The courtyard garden is enclosed by an original stone wall and has table and chairs for eating outside. There is a private parking space for one car. Guests bring their own beach towels. Dogs are not allowed. Arrival is from 4pm, and the cottage must be vacated before 10am.

It suits adults, such as a couple or two friends, who are comfortable on a steep staircase.
