Harbourside Cottage

Harbourside Cottage is a terraced house on the edge of Weymouth Harbour, with views of the water from the dining room and from a window seat in the first-floor sitting room. The kitchen is on the ground floor, along with a bathroom that has a free-standing bath and a walk-in shower, and the house also has a living and dining room.

Three bedrooms fill the upper floors. A double on the first floor and a double on the second each have an en-suite with a walk-in shower, basin and WC, and a twin room completes the second floor, so six guests fit. A travel cot is available. Out the back, a small courtyard has patio furniture for breakfast outdoors.

Parking needs some planning. One permit for Zone L roadside parking is available until 31 March 2027, subject to council renewal, though a space cannot be guaranteed, and the nearest pay-and-display car park is the Nothe car park, a few minutes' walk away. The harbour and Hope Square are closed to traffic for two free festivals, usually on the late May bank holiday weekend and the first weekend of June, which can mean road closures and parking restrictions.

Check-in is on Saturdays only, and from April to December stays must be seven nights or more. Neither pets nor smoking are allowed. It suits a family or two couples who are happy to rely on a permit or pay-and-display parking.
