Limberlost Cottage

Limberlost Cottage is a 300-year-old cottage near Hamworthy, set within its own forest and not far from Poole. A brick path leads to the front door, and inside there are exposed beams and large wooden windows.

The sitting room has a Smart TV and a double-sided woodburning stove that it shares with the snug next door, which has stone flooring. A starter pack for the stoves is supplied, with fuel and power included in the rent. The kitchen/diner has a range cooker set in an alcove, a dishwasher, a fridge, a freezer and a microwave, and the dining table is laid for four. Central heating runs on gas, and WiFi, bed linen and towels are all provided.

Two bedrooms sleep four, each with wooden furniture, wooden flooring and a brick chimney nook. The single bathroom has a roll-top bath with a hand-held shower, a separate walk-in shower, a basin and a WC that is over 100 years old and restored.

Outside, the garden has a patio, a lawn and furniture, and a pond, so children need supervising at all times. Off-road parking holds three cars. A shop is 0.5 miles away and the nearest pub 1.8 miles. Pets and smoking are not allowed. The cottage suits a small family or a group of friends, up to four in all, who want woodburning stoves and space to park more than one car.
