Little Poppes Lawn is an annexe at Holditch, near Hawkchurch and close to the Dorset/Devon border, set in over an acre of grounds that look across the Axe Valley. Nearby places include Whitchurch Canonicorum. The annexe is all on one level, with a double bedroom that has an en-suite shower room, a twin bedroom, a kitchen/dining room and a sitting room, and it sleeps four. The twin room works for friends, family or younger guests.

The kitchen has an electric oven, an induction hob, a fridge with an ice box, a kettle and a toaster, and the sitting room has a Smart TV. There is WiFi and electric heating, and fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Some internal steps mean it is worth thinking about before you book.

Outside, a private garden has seating and a covered veranda. Beyond it are a shared paddock, an orchard and a firepit. Off-road parking takes two cars. The shop is 2.1 miles away, the pub 2.2 miles and the river 1.5 miles.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, and smoking is not allowed. It suits two couples, or a couple with a friend or an older child, who want a quiet rural stay with room outdoors.
