Little Retreat

Little Retreat is a converted detached building in the grounds of a house called The Retreat, in the Dorset village of Upwey, near Weymouth. It has its own entrance and its own gardens. Two steps lead up at the entrance, and after that everything sits on one level.

The sleeping space is a single double bedroom, which makes this a place for two people and no more. The bathroom has a shower over, a basin and a WC. In the open-plan living area, a fitted kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine shares the room with a dining area and a sitting area with a television and DVD player. Gas central heating is installed, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. The bedding may contain feathers.

The lawned garden is furnished and has a patio, mature trees and flower borders. One car can be left off the road. The nearest shop and pub are 5 minutes away by car, though two pubs and the Upwey Wishing Well tea rooms are described as a gentle stroll from the door, and Weymouth is about ten minutes away by car or bus.

There are no pets and no smoking. A couple who want a quiet base near Weymouth and can manage two steps at the door will find it suits them well.
