The Old Stable - Weymouth

The Old Stable is a one-bedroom cottage in Upwey, set back from the village high street. The pub and the shop are within half a mile. A bus stop is outside the property, and Weymouth is 3.5 miles away, so a car is not essential.

The stable door opens into a double-height living space with vaulted beams, a feature stone wall and a wood burner, with logs included. The cottage has under-floor heating. The compact galley kitchen sits behind the stable divider and has a Belfast sink, an induction hob, an oven, a fridge with an ice box, a microwave and oak worktops. There is a TV, and Wi-Fi is included. Upstairs, the double bedroom is on a mezzanine with exposed A-frame beams, oak flooring and a balustrade overlooking the living area. The shower room is on the ground floor.

Outside there is a seating area and terrace, with a surface of shale and cobbles that is not enclosed. Parking is off-road for one car, and a secure bike store is available on request.

Children cannot be accommodated. Dogs cannot stay. It suits a couple who want to walk or cycle from the door and use the bus for coastal days.
