Lobster Cottage

Off-road parking is the practical strength of Lobster Cottage. The space takes two small cars or one regular or larger one, which counts for a lot in this part of Weymouth. The period cottage has been restored and stands just off Brewers Quay, with the Old Harbour a few steps away.

It rises over three floors. The kitchen has a dining area, and there is a utility room on the ground floor. The cottage has an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher, along with a Smart TV, a DVD player, a CD player and a selection of books. The heating is gas-fired.

Three bedrooms sleep six. One is a double, one a twin, and the second-floor double has its own en-suite shower room. A bathroom with a bath and shower over serves the rest. A cot is available. The rent covers fuel, power, bed linen and towels.

The small rear courtyard has furniture. The cottage is no-smoking and does not take pets. A pub and shop are 5 minutes away, and the beach is 1 mile off. Fayre in the Square (usually the late May bank holiday weekend) and the Wessex Folk Festival (usually the first weekend of June) close the harbour and Hope Square to traffic, which can mean road closures and parking restrictions. The cottage suits a family or two couples who want to leave the car on site and walk to the harbour.
