Louisa Cottage

Louisa Cottage is a period cottage in the Brewers Quay area of Weymouth, with the Old Harbour a few steps from the front door and harbour views from its rooms. The harbour is a spot for crabbing with children, and the town bridge lifts every two hours to let boats through.

The cottage is on three floors. The kitchen is well equipped, and the sitting room has a dining table. The cottage has an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge-freezer and a washing machine. Gas central heating is fitted, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. A TV, a DVD player, WiFi and a selection of books are provided.

There are three bedrooms for five guests: a double, a second-floor twin and a second-floor single. A bathroom with a bath and separate shower is joined by a shower room on the second floor. A cot is available, and a small patio courtyard at the back has garden furniture. A shop and pub are 5 minutes away, and the beach is 1 mile off.

One dog is welcome, and smoking is not allowed. A good-housekeeping bond has to be paid. The nearest pay and display parking is the Nothe car park, a few minutes' walk away. Fayre in the Square (usually the late May bank holiday weekend) and the Wessex Folk Festival (usually the first weekend of June) close the harbour and Hope Square to traffic, which can mean road closures and parking restrictions. It suits a couple or small family travelling with a dog who want to walk to the harbour, the Nothe Fort and the beach.
