Mackerel Cottage

Mackerel Cottage is a refurbished period house on Franchise Street in Weymouth, a few minutes' walk from the harbourside and Brewers Quay, where there is a pub and restaurants. The shop and a pub are 0.1 miles away and the beach is 0.6 miles. It sleeps four.

Upstairs are a king-size bedroom and a twin, both with wooden floors and original fireplaces. The bathroom has a bath with a handheld shower over it, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC, and there is a separate cloakroom. The living and dining room has a woodburning stove, though no logs, kindling or firelighters are provided. A sunroom at the back looks onto the courtyard garden, which has a patio and furniture.

The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge with icebox. The TV is a smart set limited to on-demand apps, and there are games and WiFi. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included, and check-in is from 4pm with check-out by 10am.

There is no parking at the property. Unallocated roadside parking nearby and a public car park a short walk away are both subject to space. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome and smoking is not allowed. The cottage suits a couple or a young family with dogs who can manage without a space at the door.
