Meadow Hare

Meadow Hare is a four-bedroom house on a lakeside estate at Crossways, near Dorchester and close to Warmwell, with the Jurassic Coast about 6 miles to the south. The open-plan living space has a wood burner with a first basket of logs, a Smart TV and a dining area with a table for six, and a breakfast bar seats two. The kitchen has an electric oven, an induction hob, a combination oven/microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a Nespresso-compatible machine.

Both king-size bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms. One looks across the lakes, and the other has a balcony with a table and chairs over the garden. The two single bedrooms share a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. A separate WC and a utility and boot room, with a washer/dryer and space for coats and shoes, are downstairs, and a welcome pack is provided.

The large lawned garden leads straight into the estate's shared sculpture garden. The private rear deck has a picnic table, a charcoal BBQ, sun loungers and relaxer chairs. Parking is for one car at the property, with more in the on-site main car park. A restaurant and private beach are on site, the shop is 0.5 miles away and the pub 1.5 miles.

Building work is taking place nearby, so workers and machinery may be seen and heard from 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. The level of activity may change. No dogs are allowed. Access to the shared pool and spa is payable on arrival, and a refundable damage deposit is payable the week before arrival. Quiet hours apply after 11pm, and hen and stag parties and work-related stays are not allowed. The house suits a family of six who want a big garden and a king-size bedroom each for two couples.
