Nature's Gate

Nature's Gate is a four-bedroom house on a private estate at Crossways, near Dorchester and close to Warmwell. The open-plan living space opens straight onto the garden, with a wood burner for cooler months and a large dining table. The kitchen has an induction hob, an oven, a combination oven/microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a boiling-water tap and a Nespresso-compatible machine. A Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker are provided, and the utility room has a washer/dryer and a separate WC.

All four bedrooms are on the first floor. The two king-size rooms have built-in wardrobes and en-suite shower rooms, and they share a balcony over the estate's sculpture garden. The other two bedrooms are a double and a bunk bedroom for children only, and they share a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The house is booked for six guests.

A large decked area has a dining set for eight and a gas BBQ, and beyond it lies a lawn with a gate into the sculpture garden. Parking is for one car at the property, with more in the main site car park. A bar and restaurant are on site, the shop is 2 miles away and the beach 6.5 miles.

Up to three dogs are welcome, with additional charges that may apply, but pets are not allowed upstairs. Shared site facilities include a tennis court, an outdoor activity area, fishing (buy a licence in advance), bike hire, mountain bike trails, water sports hire from May to October and a 25-metre heated outdoor pool. Access to the pool and spa is payable on arrival, and a refundable security deposit is paid direct to the site. The house suits a family or friends who travel with a dog and want a garden and a balcony each morning.
