Old Boathouse

The Old Boathouse stands by the inner marina in the centre of Weymouth, with the inner harbour seconds from the front door. The house has garage parking for one car, and the garage entrance is 2.3m high and 2.5m wide, so tall vehicles need checking first.

The house rises over three floors. The first floor has the kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area, a sofa and two armchairs, and a utility room is on the ground floor. Equipment includes an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a dishwasher, with a TV and WiFi. Heating is by gas central heating. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.

Five guests sleep in three bedrooms on the upper floors: two doubles, one with an en-suite shower, basin and WC, and a single. A family bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. The stairs are narrow and steep.

The house takes Saturday arrivals only. Parties of all men or all women are not accepted, pets and smoking are not allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. Festivals can bring road closures and parking restrictions. The neighbouring New Boathouse sleeps seven, so the two houses can serve a bigger group travelling together. The Old Boathouse suits a family of five, or a couple with friends, who want to park in a garage and walk into town.
