Old Rectory View

Old Rectory View is attached to the owners' own house, with a private entrance, just outside the hamlet of West Compton under Eggardon Hill, in the countryside near Litton Cheney. Dorchester is a short drive away. Guests have their own entrance and privacy.

The hallway leads to a kitchen-diner with a dining area for four, an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. Next door the lounge has a Smart TV with DVD player and an electric fire in the style of a wood burner, and from it you reach the conservatory and then the garden. A separate WC is on the ground floor.

Stairs lead to two bedrooms and the bathroom: a super-king-size bedroom, and a twin with zip-and-link beds that can be made into a king-size if you ask when booking. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. In the enclosed garden are a patio, garden furniture, a charcoal BBQ and the Lay-z-spa hot tub. Hot tub towels are provided, but bring your own beach towels.

Parking is for 2 cars off the road, and the EV charger is used through an app on arrival. Bicycles go in racks by the front door. A travel cot and highchair are not provided, though guests may bring their own. The beach is 7 miles away, the shop 3 miles and the pub 2 miles. Dogs are not allowed. Check-in is from 16:00 and departure is before 10:00. It suits a couple, or two couples, who want a hot tub and are travelling by car.
