Threshers Cottage

Threshers Cottage is one of four cottages in a converted Grade II listed barn at Askerswell, near West Bay and not far from Litton Cheney. It sleeps four. A stable door opens straight into the dining and sitting room, which has exposed oak beams, stonework, a Smart TV with DVD player and Bluetooth speaker, two small sofas and an extendable table for four. Bridport is 4 miles away and the Jurassic Coast 5 miles.

The kitchen is small but has plenty of storage, with an electric oven, a gas hob, a fridge, a freezer, a toaster, a microwave and a washing machine. Upstairs are a double bedroom, a twin and a box room for luggage, all with original floorboards and reduced headroom under the eaves. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, again with limited headroom. There is fibre broadband and central heating.

The garden, with its lawn, summerhouse, deck chairs and sun loungers, is a few yards down the lane from the barn, on the far side of the lane. Private off-road parking is available. The shops are 4 miles away and the pub is half a mile. A cot can be provided for babies and small children.

Because of restrictions on the property, it accepts bookings with either children or a dog, but not both at once. One dog is allowed, and additional charges may apply. Check-in is from 16:00 and departure is before 10:00. The cottage suits a couple, a couple with a dog, or a small family without one.
