Olympic Cottage

Olympic Cottage stands on a residential development on the Isle of Portland, built originally to house athletes for the 2012 Olympic sailing events. The National Sailing Academy is a short walk away, so the cottage suits anyone coming for water sports. The shop, the pub and the beach are each about five minutes from the door.

Both bedrooms are on the first floor: a king-size double and a twin. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it, and a ground-floor cloakroom with a basin and WC is combined with the utility area. Kitchen, dining area and sitting area share one open-plan room, equipped with a dishwasher, a washer/dryer, a microwave, a freezer and WiFi. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. A cot and a highchair can be provided, but guests need to bring their own cot linen.

The back garden is fully enclosed and has a patio with furniture. The one allocated parking space takes a single car and is reached under an archway 2.2 metres high, so check your vehicle's height before you travel. Heating comes from an eco-friendly central heating system.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, and the cottage is non-smoking. A maximum of four people can stay. It suits a couple or a small family with a dog who want to explore the island on foot.
