Orchid 9

Orchid 9 is a single-storey ABI Harrogate lodge in a quiet corner of Hoburne Park, in Christchurch. There are two bedrooms, a king-size with its own en-suite walk-in shower and a twin, and a double sofa bed in the living space. That adds up to six guests: two in the king-size, two in the twin and two on the sofa bed. The family bathroom has a bath and a shower over it.

The open-plan area brings the kitchen, a dining table and the sitting area together, with a breakfast bar. The range cooker has a five-ring gas hob and three ovens, and there is also a microwave, a dishwasher and a coffee maker. The living area has a 43-inch Smart TV, Bluetooth speakers and an electric fire, and a utility room holds the washing machine. Gas central heating, fuel, power and bed linen are included, but guests bring their own towels.

Outside, private decking has furniture, a barbecue and a fire pit, and there is a lawned garden. Two parking spaces are allocated to the lodge. Temporary membership passes for on-site facilities can be bought for an extra charge. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by noon.

No pets and no smoking are allowed, and a refundable good-housekeeping bond is payable. The lodge suits a family or two couples who want a single-storey layout with outdoor space to cook and sit out on.
