Pear Cottage

Pear Cottage is in the hamlet of Chebbard, 3 miles from Milborne St Andrew and 8 miles from Dorchester. It sleeps four in two bedrooms on the first floor: a super-king-size, and a twin whose zip-and-link beds can be made into a super-king-size on request. The family bathroom is on the same floor, with a bath and a shower, and there is one extra WC.

You come in through a lobby for boots and wellies. The lounge has a wood burner in an inglenook fireplace, coffee table books and a Smart TV. The kitchen and dining room has bi-folding doors looking out to a bank of wildflowers. It has an electric range-style oven, an induction hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, and a utility room holds the washing machine. Ask for a travel cot and highchair if you need them.

Seating areas at both the front and the back look across the views. A patio has outdoor furniture and a charcoal BBQ (a starter pack is provided), and a large enclosed lawn gives children room to play. Two cars can park privately. The shop is 3 miles away and the pub is 2.5 miles.

One dog is welcome, with additional charges possible. Pear Cottage suits a couple, or a family of up to four, who want a wood burner and an enclosed lawn in the countryside.
