Periwinkle Cottage - Bridport

Periwinkle Cottage is a Grade II-listed former ropemaker's cottage for two in the centre of Bridport. The pub is 100 metres away, the shop 350 metres and the beach 2 miles. There is no parking at the cottage: the public car park is 500 metres away.

The ground-floor lounge has overhead beams, exposed brickwork and a Smart TV, and the cottage has internet access. The kitchen next door has an induction hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge with a small freezer compartment, and a table laid for two. Steep cottage-style stairs lead to the first-floor landing. The first floor also has a tiny feature fireplace.

Both the bedroom and the bathroom are on the first floor, so every night involves the stairs. The bedroom has a king-size bed, and the adjoining bathroom has a bath with a shower over it and a WC. Arrival is from 4pm, and departure is before 10am.

Outside is a private enclosed courtyard garden with patio furniture in a bistro style. Guests can bring one dog, with an additional charge. The cottage suits a couple who want to walk to the shops and pubs in town and do not mind a walk from the car park and steep stairs.
