Poppies

Poppies is a mews-style house in Kellaway Court, a gated development on the old brewery land at Brewers Quay in Weymouth. Several of the historic brewery buildings still stand around it. A shop, a pub and the harbour are all 2 minutes' walk away.

The ground floor has a sitting room with a dining area, a kitchen with a bar table and chairs, and a WC. The kitchen is fitted with a gas hob and oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is a smart TV, a music system and WiFi, with gas central heating, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and one twin, and a bathroom with a bath, a separate shower, a basin and a WC. Outside, a small front patio has furniture. Parking is allocated for one car in an electronically gated area. Pets and smoking are not allowed.

The harbour and Hope Square are closed to traffic for Fayre in the Square, usually on the late May Bank Holiday weekend, and for the Wessex Folk Festival, usually the first weekend of June, which brings some road closures and parking restrictions. The house suits a couple or a small family who want to walk to the harbour for meals.
