Poppy Cottage

Poppy Cottage is a stone-built house in the town of Beaminster, with a convenience store and a pub both 0.1 miles away. The house has a kitchen/diner, a living/dining room with wooden beams and a gas fire with a woodburning effect, a conservatory, and a cloakroom that holds the washing machine and tumble dryer. Fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Four bedrooms sleep seven: two doubles, a twin with its own TV, and a single. Access to one of the doubles is through the single bedroom. Two shower rooms with walk-in showers serve the house, and a cot is available. There is an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a kettle and a toaster in the kitchen, and a hi-fi with a CD player, DAB radio and Bluetooth. A TV and WiFi are provided.

The enclosed garden has a gravelled area. Off-road parking is for one car only, and the narrow drive leads straight onto the high street. Steps run through the property: there are steps down to the kitchen/diner, a step up to the garden, and a steep white staircase from the kitchen to the twin bedroom,. One well-behaved dog is welcome, smoking is not allowed, work and business bookings are not accepted, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. It suits a family or a group of friends who can manage stairs.
