Providence Cottage - Swanage

This former fisherman's cottage in Swanage is built of stone and is Grade II listed. The Victorian pier, the sandy beach, small shops, wine bars and restaurants are all close, and the steam railway to Corfe Castle is not far off.

Downstairs is a sitting room with sofas, an open fire and a TV with a DVD player, then an open-plan dining room. The kitchen has a gas hob, an electric cooker, a microwave, a fridge and a dishwasher. There is a washing machine in the utility room, and a fridge/freezer in a cupboard in the dining room. A ground-floor shower room has a walk-in shower and a WC.

On the first floor are a double bedroom, a twin and a second shower room with a walk-in shower and a WC. A further flight leads to the king-size double bedroom, with views across the sea to the Isle of Wight and an en-suite WC with a basin. A travel cot can be added to this room, and a highchair is also available, both on request when booking. Fibre optic broadband was installed in September 2026.

Outside is a walled, gated courtyard with garden furniture, and within it a raised, fenced area with a space for one car. The cottage does not take dogs. The cottage suits a family or three couples who are happy with stairs up to the top floor.
