Rabbit Cottage - Notton Hill Barns

Rabbit Cottage is a two-bedroom barn conversion in Notton, near Dorchester, with Frampton nearby, built from flint and stone in the 18th century and one of four adjoining properties. The long drive to it passes through a working farm and is unmade in places. Upstairs, the bedrooms are a zip-and-link bed made up as a super-king, which can become twin beds on request, and a double, and the floor also holds a study and the second bathroom. It suits two couples, or a couple who want a study to sit and read in. Dogs are not allowed.

The ground-floor bathroom, straight ahead of the hallway, has a corner bath and a separate shower cubicle. The second bathroom upstairs has a bath and a WC. To the left is an open-plan lounge and dining room, with the wood burner and Smart TV on one side and the dining table opposite. The kitchen is next door, through an arch, and has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge freezer and a dishwasher. A highchair and travel cot are available, but linen is not supplied.

French doors from the lounge open to a private patio with furniture and a charcoal BBQ, next to an open lawn that is partly screened by hedging. A shared games room at the opposite end of the terrace has a table for pool, table tennis and air hockey, a dart board, and board games and books. Guests share a laundry room with two washing machines and a tumble dryer.

Two off-road spaces are in front of the cottage. The dedicated EV charger delivers 7.6kW, works by app or RFID fob, and carries an additional charge. Water is a private supply, and CCTV covers the games room, drive and parking area. The beach is 7 miles away, and the shop and pub are 2 miles.
