The Elbow

The Elbow sits in a row of 16th century thatched cottages in Frampton, inside the Dorset National Landscape, and sleeps four over three floors. Off-road parking is for one car, with an electric vehicle charger. The shop is 0.8 miles away and the pub 1.7 miles.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. Beyond it, the living and dining room has a table for four, a Smart TV, a window seat and beams, and an electric woodburning-effect fire in an inglenook. A cloakroom with a WC and basin is on the ground floor. There is WiFi and a selection of games, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

The two bedrooms each have an en-suite. The double has a roll-top bath, reached by 11 steps up from the bedroom. The twin has a walk-in shower. Those steps are not the only ones: there are 3 steps up to the kitchen from the sitting room and 14 steps in the garden, so it is not a place for anyone who finds stairs difficult. It suits two couples, or friends, who are comfortable on stairs.

The enclosed rear garden rises in levels, with a furnished patio and a summer house with seating that looks across the Frome Valley. The cottage does not take pets and is no smoking. A good housekeeping bond is payable. Frome Gazey Barn next door can be booked with it, and together they sleep six across three bedrooms.
