Ray Cottage

Ray Cottage is a modern build at Melplash, near Bridport, about 2.5 miles from Beaminster. You enter privately and find the lounge, kitchen and dining area to the right, under a high vaulted ceiling with huge patio doors and triangular feature windows. It sleeps four.

The L-shaped kitchen has an electric oven, an induction hob, a microwave, an air fryer, a Nespresso machine, a dishwasher, a fridge/freezer and a washing machine, with a small dining space beside it. The lounge has a chaise-end sofa and a Smart TV. In the hall, the double bedroom opens directly to the garden, and the main bathroom opposite has a curved walk-in shower and a separate bath. Oak stairs lead up to the super-king bedroom, which also opens to the garden and has its own en-suite shower room.

The enclosed garden is split-level, with two patios, furniture and lawns. It has unfenced drops, so take extra care with children. Private parking is for 2 cars, shared with the neighbouring property, and has an EV charging point.

Group bookings may be checked to confirm the stay is for a holiday, and a security deposit may be requested where relevant. Stag and hen parties are not permitted, and neither are dogs. Shops and pubs are 2.5 miles away and the beach is 6 miles. The cottage suits two couples or a small family who like a modern house with a charging point.
