Rockpools

Rockpools is a modern two-bedroom terraced house on The Maltings development in Weymouth. Newton's Cove and a green exercise area for dogs are a few minutes' walk away, the shop, pub and harbour are five minutes on foot, and the main sandy beach is about ten.

The tiered garden is enclosed and gets afternoon and evening sun. It has sun loungers and a BBQ, though guests supply their own charcoal, plus a storage shed for beach and watersports kit and a hose for washing off boots and wetsuits. Children need supervising on the tiers.

Two bedrooms are upstairs, a double and a twin, and the bathroom has a walk-in shower. The kitchen with dining area has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. There is a smart TV, fibre superfast WiFi and gas central heating with Hive controls. A cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request, and guests bring their own cot linen.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, but no other pets. Smoking is not allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. The allocated off-road space takes one car. A flat pedestrian and cycle path, the Rodwell Trail, runs from Weymouth to Portland a few minutes away. The house suits a family or a couple travelling with up to two dogs.
